Dear Students,
Bhubaneswar School of Hotel Management & Tourism (BSHMT) is an institute with a difference. It believes not only in the immediate aim of producing bright, educated & motivated students to be the industry’s future torchbearers, but also in the long-term goal of carrying out the arduous task of creating-and-spreading awareness of the tremendous potential of tourism and its social contribution towards inculcating a sense of belonging the world over Bhubaneswar School of Hotel Management & Tourism, has been constantly endeavouring towards this end ever since its inception and sees for itself a major role in the overall scheme of things.
Tourism is the world’s largest export industry. Above 567.4m tourist travel worldwide in 1995 and spend about US$372.6b.Foreign exchange earning from tourism in India grew by 24.7% in 1995-96 with the world outlook envisaging employment in the hospitality sector rising by 33% in a year, the hotel industry is posed as one of the most promising career options for creative young people.
To meet the challenges of the dramatic changes over the past 20 years, we endeavour to provide our students with a world class education, combining the latest eastern trends and techniques with the age old, rich cultural heritage of India.
